Tucked away near the famous 199 Steps at the upper end of Church Street, Caedmon's Rest sits within the hustle and bustle of Church Street on the old side of Whitby, yet offers very quiet and tranquil accommodation, just for two. An ideal base from which to explore just about everywhere really and an easy walk back after a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants Whitby now boasts. The beach is a stone's throw away and if you can make it up the 199 Steps the Abbey Headland awaits you, where Caedmon himself wrote the very first English poem. A great choice if you are looking to be centrally located and enjoy a spot of 'people-watching!'
